Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Cairo
Arrival at Cairo International Airport
Meet and assist by Representative
Transfer by Coach / Bus and overnight at Hotel
Day 2: Giza Tour
Morning visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza. The great Pyramid of Cheops,
which one of the Seven wonders of the world, the second Pyramid of
Chephren, and
the third Pyramid of Macaronis and the enigmatic Sphinx the guard of the
Pyramids. A short stop for lunch, then we drive to Sakara, the vast
Necropolis of
ancient Memphis. Sakara has the first Pyramid and the world’s oldest stone
structure. In the afternoon, we drive to Memphis the capital of the
ancient
kingdom and one of the most important cities throughout the history of
ancient Egypt, and also to see the statue of Ramses II, and the Alabaster
Sphinx. At
10 pm we catch the overnight train to Aswan.
Day 3: Aswan
Arrive in Aswan, meet and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Full-day
excursion around the city visiting the Temple of Philae, the Aswan High
Dam, and the
Unfinished Obelisk. Overnight in Aswan hotel.
Day 4: Aswan/Felucca
Join an orientation cruise around Kitchener and Elephantine Islands.
Overnight on felucca, sailing to Kom Ombo.
Day 5: Kom Ombo/Felucca
Visit the dual temple of Sobek and Haroeris. Overnight on felucca, sailing
to Edfu.
Day 6: Edfu/Luxor (East Bank)
Morning visit to one of the most well-preserved temples in all of Egypt --
dedicated to Horus, the Falcon God. Transfer by local transportation to
Luxor, and
check-in at the hotel. This afternoon, enjoy a visit to the East Bank of
Luxor:
- Luxor Temple
- Karnak Temple
Overnight in Luxor hotel.
Day 7: Luxor (West Bank)
Visit the West Bank of Luxor:
- Valley of the Kings
- Valley of the Queens
- Temple of Queen Hatshepsut
- Colossi of Memnon
Overnight, we travel by train back to Cairo.
Day 8: Cairo/City Tour
Arrive Cairo and transfer to the hotel for check-in.First to the Egyptian
Museum where the treasures of King Tut Ankh-Amun and most of the pharaohs,
are
kept. Then to Islamic Cairo where the 12th Century Citadel of Salah El-Din
stands, within the walls of the medieval fortress is the Alabaster Mosque
and El-
Gawhara Palace built by Mohamed Ali. Next we visit Christian Old Cairo
where the Romans constructed the fortress of Babylon. Built over the ruins
of the two
towers of this fortress, the Church of Saint Mary which is called The
Hanging Church.
Back- Over night at hotel
Day 9: Depart Cairo
After breakfast/Free day. Transfer to Cairo International Airport.
Tour Includes:
1- Transfers from/to the airport.
2- All fully-guided tours in Cairo, Giza, Aswan, Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Luxor
(as per the itinerary) in air-conditioned buses.
3- English-speaking tour guides throughout your program.
4- Two nights on a felucca (Oriental Sailboat) with all meals included.
5- First-class train tickets from Cairo/Aswan and Luxor/Cairo on an
air-conditioned Spanish train with reclining seats.
6- All accommodations in 3-star hotels in Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor. All
rooms have a private bath, air-conditioning, TV, and include breakfast.
7- All transfer and pick-up services.
8- All service charges and taxes.
Tour Excludes:
1- Entrance fees of the sites. We do not charge in advance for site
entrance fees to add flexibility to your program as you may choose to skip
one or more sites
depending upon your interests.
2- Drinks , tips and any other items of a personal nature.
Notes:
1- All of our tours can start on any day, however confirmation in advance
is still highly recommended.
2- All of our tours can be customized to fit your time, budget, and
interests..
Optional :
1- Day trips and activities (Add-Ons) are available upon request and
include the Dinner Cruise, Sound & Light Show at the Pyramids, Camel trip,
shopping at the Khan El-Khalily Market, an excursion to Alexandria our as
you wish.
2- Day-trip to (Abu Simbel) can be added to this program, upon request.
3- All day trips leave in small groups and are accompanied by a
professional tour guide.
4- The time spent depends only upon our guests' desires and the official
opening/closing times of the sites.
5- Additional accommodation nights can be arranged upon request.
* The tour price is 360 U$D per person, based on double occupancy. There
is a 80 U$D single supplement charge.
